What is EZPremium service?

EZPremium is designed for three types of flight crewmembers.

• Pilots and flight attendants who want us to enter all the data for them.
• Pilots and flight attendants who want extra guidance for their flight crew tax entries.
• Pilots and flight attendants who want a fully prepared IRS Form 2106 for their taxes or tax preparer.

If you fall into any of those categories, we recommend EZPremium over EZStandard.

Is the extra cost of EZPremium worth it?

If you are at all unsure about how to do flight crew taxes, you are probably better off paying for the extra guidance provided with EZPremium.  Errors in your tax return can either reduce your tax refund if you miss tax deductions that you could have taken, or possibly lead to a tax audit if your tax return shows certain errors.

Another factor to consider is the price that your local tax preparer charges per hour to do your taxes.  The national average hourly rate for tax preparation services ranges from around $90 to almost $140 per hour depending on where you live.  Given that fact, having a fully prepared IRS Form 2106 for you to deliver to your local tax preparer is a great way to reduce your overall tax preparation fees.

How do I select EZPremium?

When you click the "pay" button, you will be able to choose your payment type.  If you select EZPremium, you will be asked to provide a little extra information before your payment is processed.  This information will help us verify that we have all of the data that we need to prepare your IRS Form 2106.

Once this information is provided, you will be able to continue and pay for EZPremium so we can begin preparing your IRS Form 2106 for you.

How thoroughly is my data reviewed?

Many first-time visitors to EZPerDiem make common mistakes, such as omitting tax deductions that they should have written off, writing off tax deductions that they should not be writing off, and making mistakes with airport code entries.  The specialist that does your flight crew taxes will look for these issues.  If they are found, you will be contacted to correct them.  Once the correction is completed, the specialist will finalize your IRS Form 2106.

What  data do I need to provide for EZPremium?

You will actually not need to enter any layovers or expenses into EZPerDiem.  You will just go through the EZPremium payment.  When you finish, you will download a pdf form that captures very basic data from you so we can do everything we need to do to prepare your flight crew tax form.

What is the turn around time for EZPremium?

If all of your information is correct on the pdf form that you send us, it generally takes less than two days to have the tax form sent to you.  We send the tax form as an email attachment to your email you provide us with.
